Check out this t-shirt site called Threadless. Designers submit original artwork and then visitors to the site can vote for their favorites. Shirts that get enough votes are then mass produced by Threadless and the artist makes $$$. Many of the designs remind me of the assignment we are currently working on - the concepts vary in awesomness, but it might give you some good ideas. Maybe we can even submit our graphics later and see what happens.
